Merge PDF: free and without uploading to a server

Want to combine several PDFs into one file? You can do it securely and for free, right in your browser.

Why merge PDFs?

You probably know the situation: you have several separate PDF files that really belong together. Think of scanned documents, separate chapters of a report, or invoices you want to archive as a single file.

Instead of sending or storing them separately, you can merge them into one tidy PDF document. Easier to share, easier to keep.

The problem with most PDF tools

Your files get uploaded

Most online PDF tools upload your files to their servers. You do not know who can read them, how long your data is kept, or where the servers are.

Account or payment required

Many tools let you merge for free once or twice and then ask for a subscription. You end up paying for something your browser can do for free.

Loss of quality

Some tools recompress your PDFs, making images blurry or changing the layout.

Our approach: everything in your browser

Our PDF merge tool works entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your computer. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

100% privacy

Your PDFs are processed locally. No server, no upload, no tracking.

No loss of quality

Pages are copied exactly, including layout, images, links and forms.

Unlimited and free

No limit on the number of files. No account needed. No hidden costs.

Change the order

Rearrange your files before merging. Remove files you do not need.

How it works

Merging PDFs takes three steps:

  1. 1 Go to Merge PDF and drag your PDF files into the upload box
  2. 2 Change the order with the arrow buttons if needed
  3. 3 Click "Merge" and download your combined PDF

Common uses

Combining scanned documents

Did you scan several pages as separate PDFs? Merge them into one document for a tidy digital archive. Handy for contracts, receipts or ID documents.

Bundling reports and presentations

Combine a cover page, table of contents and several chapters into one professional document. Ideal for project reports or quotes.

Archiving invoices

Bundle all invoices from a month or quarter into one PDF for your bookkeeping. Easier to keep and to find again.

The technology behind it

Our tool uses pdf-lib, an open-source JavaScript library that can read and write PDF documents. All processing happens in your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript.

Every page of every PDF is copied exactly into the new document. There is no recompression or conversion. What goes in comes out exactly the same.

Tip: split a PDF too?

Besides merging, you can also split a PDF — handy if you have one large document but only want to share certain pages. Our split PDF tool works the same way: entirely in the browser, no upload needed.

Want to send the merged PDF?

Have you merged your PDF and want to share the result with someone? Upload the file via our upload page and share the download link. Free up to 3 GB, with end-to-end encryption and automatic deletion.
